Chiefs Message

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.  The De Beque Fire Protection District continues to work diligently to improve our services to the area.  The De Beque Fire Protection District serves over 767 square miles within both Mesa and Garfield Counties.  The Fire District has paid full-time personnel working a 48/96 shift schedule.  The men and women of the De Beque Fire Protection District are committed to serving the community.

In 2014 the Fire District ISO rating was evaluated and the ISO issued a class 4 rating to the fire district.

Emergency Medical Services accounts for the majority of our call response.  Personnel continually work to improve their skills and call upon their resourcefulness to provide the best service they possibly can to patients.

De Beque Fire District provides Structural firefighting, Hazardous Materials Operations level response, Emergency Medical Response, and Wildland Fire Fighting.  The Fire District is working on specialized skills programs for Swift Water Rescue, Ice Rescue and High and Low Angle Technical Rescue.
