Chief's Message

Summer is looming and hot weather will soon be the norm.  We expect an extremely dry season this year, which will mean high risk for fires and small fires turning into large ones.  We will again look at deployment to help other places in need of fire fighting, but we want to assure you that our station will be fully staffed for our district's needs.

We are beginning to implement our rotational plan for apparatus replacement and look forward to the June arrival of the new ambulance that we ordered in 2022.  We'll post an update when it gets here, and we welcome you to come to the station and give it a look-see!  We ordered a new fire rescue truck, which will take five years to complete (due to back orders), and a new squad vehicle is in the works.

Our meeting room has had an increase in booking, with lots of great comments about the kitchenette addition.   Prom was a success!  The students did a great job decorating and the grand march showed off the beautiful dresses and formal wear.  We wish the graduating students much success as they head out for their new adventures.

We look forward to continuing our service to the De Beque community, the surrounding district area, and the other nearby communities that we may be called upon to assist.  Please contact us if you have any concerns, comments, or questions.  We are here to serve you!  Thank you for your support!
